BLOWING
class description:

Dante Marioni started blowing glass at the age of fifteen. Since then, he has worked as an assistant to Lino Tagliapietra, the Venetian glass maestro, and Dick Marquis at Benjamin Moore's Studio. At present, he resides and works in Seattle, actively participating in workshops around the world as well as in Pilchuck.
His works are in The White House Public Collection and in several major museums all over the world. In Japan, his works can be seen in the collection of The Tokyo National Museum of Contemporary art.

In this class, we will emphasize various off hand glassmaking disciplines focusing primarily on the Venetian style of working. There will be many demonstrations and discussions in a relaxed, casual atmosphere and our individual interests can be explored.@@@@
