After having the festival for 28 years, we have second generation instructor, and some staff members who have been with us since the very first one. With new and old glass missionaries and followers coming together here over rough waves and over from other countries, the annual festival is about to begin. You can either watch us on internet, or come join us here to share the precious time.
First day was perfect fair weather. Hope this will continue on and make this workshop full of happy energy.
It is my first time to be here in the festival as a staff member. The weather is great! I hope to work and enjoy the festival to the fullest
Finally reached here safely despite of 10 hour boat ride. I would like to work hard to pay back for all the generosity that I have been blessed with from Niijima.
The ocean is peaceful. Nice and warm here. Glass is melting beautifully too. Come on, come on and join us!
Happy reunion with Debbie Moore after so many years! We’ve both grown opulently, but it’s still the same us inside from nineteen years ago, and having great time enjoying girls’ chat.
Relishing the happiness of being invited to long aspired Niijima Interenational Glass Art Festival, I will do my best to help everyone to have great time with smiles on their faces.
Niijima is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. I feel incredibly fortunate to be here and look forward to seeing the festival unfold.
This is a whole new planet of glassworking and I am excited to explore and discover what this place has to offer.
I’m Happy to be back again after working here during the summer. Thank you so much for giving me a chance to be a staff member in the festival.
This is my second year as a festival staff! I will stay on the ball to help, so everyone can enjoy their time here!!
It’s been 20 years since my last visit to Niijima. Thank you so much for letting me be a TA for two generations of Toffolo clan.
